Postdoctoral Fellows
Dr. Arvind Pathak’s Functional Imaging and Visualization Laboratory in the Department of Radiology of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral fellowship in multiscale imaging (MRI/CT/optical) of cancer. Outstanding graduate students nearing degree completion or junior postdoctoral fellows are invited to apply. Consideration of candidates will begin immediately.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biophysics, or a related field.
- Experience with in vivo MRI.
- Image or signal processing experience.
- MATLAB or equivalent programming experience.
Application Packet MUST include the following:
- One page statement describing applicant’s research interests and why they wish to join the Pathak Lab.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Three letters of recommendation.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Application Process
Applications should be emailed to Dr. Arvind Pathak at pathak AT mri.jhu.edu
The Johns Hopkins University is an equal opportunity affirmative action employer. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Undergraduate Students
Our lab is focused on developing new imaging methods and visualization tools to better understand diseases such as cancer and stroke as well as how the brain functions. Most projects in the lab cover the gamut from cell biology to quantitative image analysis. We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated undergraduates with a keen interest in biomedical imaging. This research may be undertaken for credit. If you are interested, please email Dr. Pathak (pathak AT mri.jhu.edu) and attach your latest resume and a one page statement describing why you would like to join the Pathak Lab.
Qualifications:
- Background in biomedical engineering/electrical engineering/biophysics/physics or related discipline.
- Exceptional students from other backgrounds (e.g. neuroscience, physiology etc.) will be considered.
- Programming experience (e.g. MATLAB) or image processing experience is a plus.
- Long-term (i.e. one year or more) commitment to the lab is expected.
